2023 Mildred C. Hanson, SIOR, Memorial Scholarship Awarded to Nikki Dedic and Crystal Stewart

The SIOR Foundation is proud to announce that Nikki Dedic (University of Denver) and Crystal Stewart (Georgia State University) have been awarded the 2023 Mildred C. Hanson Memorial Scholarship.

Nikki Dedic received a BA in Economics for Business Management from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA. After several years in the industry, most recently at CBRE, Nikki decided to further her education and expertise by returning to school and is currently completing her Master of Science in Real Estate and the Built Environment at the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business. Nikki is deeply committed to a career in Corporate Real Estate and is dedicated to using her expertise and influence to promote diversity and inclusion in the industry.

Crystal Stewart is a junior at Georgia State University double majoring in Real Estate and Finance while minoring in Entrepreneurship and International Business. She is an active participant in various extracurricular activities revolving around real estate, including UCREW Experience, ICSC Case Competitions, and the Women in Commercial Real Estate Group at GSU, where she holds the position of Vice President.

Receiving the 2023 Mildred C. Hanson, SIOR Memorial Scholarship is a tremendous honor and a pivotal moment in my academic journey in real estate and finance. This scholarship not only provides financial assistance but also serves as a validation of my dedication and passion for the field. With this support, I am empowered to fully immerse myself in my studies and pursue academic excellence in real estate and finance.

The scholarship will significantly alleviate the financial burden associated with pursuing higher education, allowing me to focus wholeheartedly on my academic pursuits. As I delve into the complexities of real estate markets, investment strategies, and financial analysis, knowing that I have the backing of the Mildred C. Hanson, SIOR Memorial Scholarship gives me the confidence to explore new avenues of learning and push the boundaries of my knowledge.

 

 

Established in 2008, the Mildred C.
