David T. Houston Jr., SIOR
David T. Houston Jr., SIOR, CRE, FRICS was a national leader in the commercial real estate industry, an active SIOR for 34 years, and a very passionate advocate of the organization and the values and professionalism it represents. He was regarded as a giant in the commercial real estate business, with a total commitment to the advancement and improvement of the industry, giving his energy, ability, and friendship to all Realtors. He set an example as national President of SIOR, President of the SIOR Foundation, and President of his SIOR New Jersey Chapter. He was cited as an outstanding leader by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), for which he served as Director and a member of the Executive Committee. He also served on both the Tax and Superior Courts of New Jersey as a recognized expert in the valuation of commercial real estate. He participated on many committees, strategic planning and many of the successful efforts undertaken by NAR and SIOR. David believed strongly in education, which he promoted throughout his career and supported through many financial gifts to the SIOR Foundation.
