A look at some of the recent beneficiaries of the SIOR Foundation's support.
Former Mildred C. Hanson, SIOR Memorial Scholarship winner, Elinor Oren, has been hard at work since receiving her scholarship. She finished her study abroad program at University College London—the #3 architecture university in the world—where she received upper first-degree grades, designed a naturally ventilated café to UK building standards, and was invited to serve on a final year Architectural Critique panel at the Canterbury University for the Creative Arts. She returned from London to spend her summer as the Real Estate Private Equity summer intern at PGIM (Pru) working in multifamily asset management and acquisitions, underwriting deals of ~$200M. This fall Elinor returned to the University of California, San Diego to finish her Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Development degree where she is co-president of the campus real estate club working with department administration and CREW to host UCSD’s first panel on women in commercial real estate.
“I have always dreamt of working in the real estate industry and, through the support of the SIOR Foundation, have been fortunate enough to learn from various mentors and local professionals, internship experiences, and professors. I hope to become an active commercial broker in the community, focusing on industrial spaces. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and thank the committee for their generosity.”

“The SIOR Foundation’s generosity has inspired me to help out other future real estate students. I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me!”
