SIOR Foundation Supports IREC 2025 at Politecnico di Milano, Advancing International Collaboration in Real Estate Innovation

Milan, Italy – The Real Estate Center (REC) of Politecnico di Milano is set to host the International Real Estate Challenge (IREC 2025) at its Campus Leonardo, thanks to the generous support of the SIOR Foundation, Colliers Italia, and under the patronage of RICS Europe (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors). This international real estate business competition will take place on Friday, January 17, 2025, showcasing the brightest young talents in the field.

Organized by REC as part of the Master REM XXVIII ed. of the ABC Department of Politecnico di Milano, IREC 2025 brings together over 50 students from eight leading universities across Europe, including:

• Ankara University
• Czech Technical University
• Odisee University of Applied Sciences
• Technological University Dublin
• Sheffield Hallam University
• Slovak University of Technology
• Universitat Politècnica de València

Participants, divided into diverse international teams, will tackle a real-world business case: selecting the best location and building for a company’s new European headquarters. Competing cities include Ankara, Barcelona, Bratislava, Brussels, Dublin, Istanbul, London, Milan, Prague, and Valencia.

Highlighting the Event’s Impact

Matthew Leguen de Lacroix, SIOR, FRICS, European trustee of the SIOR Foundation and Head of Business Development, EMEA for SIOR Global, emphasized the significance of this collaboration:
