Christopher E. Field Recipient of SIOR Utah Chapter Scholarship Award

One student is starting off the new year with some assistance reaching his educational and professional resolutions. Thanks to the generosity of a $10,000 scholarship he received late last fall, Christopher E. Field is furthering his goal of completing his MRED at the University of Utah.

Recently the SIOR Foundation and the SIOR Utah Chapter each contributed $2,500 toward the SIOR Utah Chapter Scholarship Award, with the University of Utah matching the contribution with a $5,000 donation. After applying through the university’s master’s program, Field was the winning recipient.

“I personally thank you for the generous scholarship that is helping me reach my educational and career goals,” says Field. “Being a husband and father of five is wonderful, yet it creates a financial challenge to advance my education. Through your generosity, I am able to grow in my field and provide more for my family and myself.”

Field hopes to focus on construction and development and “build a structure(s) that benefit society and the local community… and really move the ball forward.”
